Major Playoffs, Even bigger Payoffs at Xbox Madden 10

If you're still unsure about Xbox Madden 10, then you need a trip through the football video game timeline, back to the beginning, to change your mind. Yeah, it could be a bit cruel to constantly bag on older games as a means to elevate today's football video games. On the other hand, after a closer examination of the older football video games, it's easier to comprehend why Xbox Madden 10 has been at the center of such unadulterated adulation. Certainly, there was a huge, untapped market for football video games, when the first generation of console games made their debut. The bad news, though, was that video game technology was still in the "post-Pong" phase, and the games reflected those limitations. The buzzword for this one was "all the excitement" of the real thing, as the game publishers tried to sell their captive audience on this one.

They didn't even try to make those guys look like people. Rough, but true. The photo may be underwhelming, but the game itself is even more so. Characters started flashing and blinking, thanks to the limited memory of the early game consoles and cartridges. Gamers used to the crisp aural sensation of today's games would be stunned by the lack of cool sound here. As you'd probably guessed, there wasn't a scrolling screen for this one. In a short matter of time, the competitors entered the video game console field, and brought out their take on a more realistic football video game. They definitely took the ball and ran with this one, giving gamers better gameplay, visuals, and sound. It wasn't there yet, though. While it did tantalize the video game world with its improvements, it was still only a slight move in the right direction. It would take a few more years before anything like that took place. The next level in football video games had been reached, and still we're seeing a following for this one. Over the years, this was the yardstick by which all football video games were measured. Why this went supernova isn't hard to figure out - with actual offensive and defensive strategies, they brought in a new level of realism. It was an amazing evolution in football video games, and this one was really a major turning point. Today, there's even a new incarnation of the game, and with that is a renewed reverence for it. That being said, as much as everyone digs that one, Xbox Madden 10 is in an entirely different league. It's always great to see how far we, and football video games, have come. We've had a few chuckles, but mocking less advanced video games isn't a productive use of our time. No need to keep harping on it. Those games had their weaknesses, but if it weren't for them, we wouldn't be playing Xbox Madden 10 today, so they did get the ball rolling. Of course, Xbox Madden 10 has really kicked this one over the goal posts, which has the video game world pretty pleased. The fans aren't the only ones raving about Xbox Madden 10 - the critics have said their piece, and they're into it. Xbox Madden 10 reviews tend to feature statements such as "realistic and enjoyable." Xbox Madden 10 is another monster hit for EA Sports, though we think you could predict that one. There are always going to be the haters, but pay no attention - Xbox Madden 10 rules. As great as Xbox sports video games offerings are, Xbox Madden 10 is at the top of the pack. Most of the gaming world agrees that this is the new standard by which the rest shall be judged. Better still, the true gamers know that this is the arena which will separate the wheat from the chaff, after you play video games for money.

The stakes have been raised, and Xbox Madden 10 maniacs now can take each other on for some serious cash. Once you've reached your apex of acumen, you'll be the one scoring big - and filling up your wallet in the process.
